Insulated Window Coverings

I need like 50 bazillion insulated window treatments. No, not really. But I do have 23 windows in the house that need to be insulated before the winter sets in, not to mention the 3 block windows in the basement. I just don't like the look of most drapes. So when I stumbled on this place, 365 Days to Simplicity, I fell in love with the look of the roman shades.


And that I can do it myself with existing blinds! And that she has instructions for so many DIY projects--yay!! (When I make the roman shades though, I will be using a layer of batting in the middle to further block out the cold.) Happy Dance!
